How to setup a system level proxy on Windows 7

Go to www.cmyip.com to know your IP address.

Find your proxy:
There are several sites out there which offer a free proxy list . Simply google free proxy and choose your proxy.  ProxyList and www.freeproxylists.net are among the good sites.

Next step is to open your internet options. This can be done either by EITHER opening the control panel and selecting “network and internet” and then “internet options” OR going to “start” and click on “run” and typing “inetcpl.cpl

Now go to “connections” tab and click on “LAN settings“. Enable proxy server and enter a proxyip address which we got in the first step.

Some screenshots to help!

Hope you all find this useful!
